How do I use the easy order feature?
Easy order allows you add items to your shopping cart by simply entering in the GBE Packaging Supplies model numbers from your catalog. Click "Go" and the product will be added to our shopping cart in the minimum order quantity amount.

Telephone Orders

PO Numbers

Can I include a purchase order number on my order?
Proceed to checkout once you have finished shopping. At the bottom of the Payment portion of the checkout process, insert your PO number in the PO number field.

Back Orders

We work hard to keep backorders to a minimum but they do happen from time to time. Current dimensional weight charged by the shipping carriers now requires us to hold your order and ship complete whenever possible. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will ship your order as soon as the backorders arrive. Backorders have arrived before the expected due date as we receive trucks every day and we will ship your order as soon as it arrives. Tracking will be sent to you as soon as it is available. We will attempt to send an informational email to alert you about a back order. Please respond to this email if you would like to make any order changes or cancel the order.

Change or Add to an Order

We cannot change or add to an order. We can cancel an order before shipping so you can place a new or correct order. Orders go direct to the shipping department so please email us within 10 minutes of placing your order if you wish to cancel or place a new order.

You can download a Wisconsin Sales / Use Tax Exemption Certificate Form S-211 below. Fill out the form, Print and Fax to the following 24 Hour Fax Line: 1-414-921-1593

Returns

Returning Merchandise

How do I return merchandise?
Call 1-877-221-5199 or e-mail us to receive an authorization number and return slip. Complete the form and return the merchandise within 30 days. Items purchased from GBE Packaging Supplies cannot be returned more than 30 days after delivery, and you cannot receive a refund for these items after that time. In addition, all returned items must be in unopened and unused condition to be accepted. We do not offer exchanges so please return merchandise you do not need and reorder the item you wanted an exchange for.

Note: There is a restocking fee along with all applicable freight charges.

Pick-Up

If you are close to one of our warehouses you may choose pick up from your shipping options and save money on shipping costs. Pick Up addresses are below. GBE Packaging Supplies ships nationwide from three fulfillment centers located in Elgin, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; and Hazleton, Pennsylvania. We will send you a confirmation E-mail normally within an hour of placing your order to confirm it is available for pick up. If you do not receive this email feel free to email us at sales@gbepackaging.com to confirm items are in stock and available for pick up.

Nationwide Shipping

GBE Packaging Supplies ships nationwide from four fulfillment centers located in Elgin, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; Atlanta, GA; and Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Our website offers real-time shipping so the shipping costs are coming direct from the carriers so you know you are paying what we do and no more. Just register if you have not registered it just takes a moment and with real time shipping it helps us get the lowest shipping quote for your order. You can place a guest order but you will not have an order history saved under guest orders.

Just place items in your cart and then choose get shipping rates and we will get quotes for you from available carriers. In most cases standard UPS or Fed Ex might be your choice and they will deliver it right to your address.

UPS - Fed Ex

For smaller orders you will be offered the lowest option available for your order based on weight and size.

Please Note: Parcel Standard is regular UPS or Fed Ex shipping.

If you need priority shipping - Choose Parcel Premium is Next Day Air shipping.


Local Delivery

If you are within our Local Delivery Area our cart will offer you Local Delivery - This can be a great saving in shipping costs but please keep in mind this is meant for LTL (Less than Truckload) or (Truckloads) so they will deliver orders with a Semi Truck and expect to back into a loading dock. If you do not have a loading dock you may need to choose inside delivery or liftgate. Please note: Failure by customer to request required shipping accessories will result in the customer being charged after the order has been placed. Customer assumes liability for these charges regardless of whether they were or were not aware that these accessories were required at the time of the order being placed.


Large Freight Orders

Please keep in mind we are shipping packaging supplies that are large and bulky items. Shippers expect a loading dock for large freight orders. Shippers will not carry 300 Lbs. of product to the 7th floor for you. They may also have issues delivering to a residential address with a semi-truck if laws do not allow those deliveries.

Inside Delivery

Inside Delivery is intended for customers that do not have the equipment to unload shipments. Inside Delivery requests are limited to areas that are directly accessible to the unloading area and no more than 25 feet from entry point of the designated doorway. Fees apply and can vary by carrier.

Military Bases

Military Bases have restricted access and require special notification to gain entry. Fees apply and vary per carrier.

Colleges and Universities

Colleges are considered residential for carriers and residential rates apply.

Straight Truck

Locations with limited access will require a straight truck delivery from carriers. Fees apply and vary by carrier.

Lift Gate

LTL shipments to residential addresses and commercial addresses that do not have a loading dock require a lift gate. Shipping carriers will not break down pallets on the truck for delivery they will require you to order a liftgate delivery so they can set your order down on the ground or your loading dock for inspection. Fees apply and vary by carrier.

Freight Orders - Freight Shippers are moving product on pallets and they expect you to have a loading dock so they can unload pallets directly from their trucks. For freight orders you will also be offered additional services you may need for large freight orders such as, Inside Delivery or Lift Gate/Straight Truck. If you are not a business with a loading dock you will need to choose lift gate service and possibly inside delivery so the shipper will be able to move your product off the truck. Inside delivery the shipper should deliver the product inside the door of your business. Please note shippers will only deliver inside your front door up to 25 feet only so if you need your order delivered to your office or upper floors you will need to arrange that yourself or have your employees move the shipment beyond what the shipper provides. Order Tracking

How do I track my order?
We will email you tracking once your order is processed.

To track your recent orders go to your order history and choose the order you wish to view. Normally we ship all orders the same day or the next business day but we cannot guarantee this based on warehouse orders per day. If there is a back order we may hold your order until complete due to dimensional weights charged by the shippers we can no longer ship back orders separately. We will try to send you an update with the ETA of the backorder.

Due to Covid – 19 we are experiencing an unprecedented amount of product back orders. We are working hard to keep backorders to a minimum in Oct 2020 we increased inventory by 30% but the mills are still experiencing worker and material shortages.

Rush Shipments/Special Instructions

Shipping quotes include a variety of options to meet the needs of our customers - Parcel Standard is regular UPS or Fed Ex shipping and Parcel Premium is next day air shipping. We cannot guarantee Same Day Shipping but if you choose Parcel Premium we will do our best to accommodate your needs and ship your order as quickly as possible.

Shortages and Damages

***** Before signing the delivery receipt or BOL for freight orders check the order completely for quantities and damage. Document any shortages or damage on the BOL or delivery receipt. - Please check your orders when they arrive! All claims for shortages and damages must be made within 24 hours of delivery – No Exceptions. The carriers will now deny any claim that was not indicated at time of delivery so please make the driver wait while you document any shortages or damages on the delivery slip or Bill of Laden when signing for a shipment.

Claims Processing Update

Due to the current nature of the freight industry, our carriers have been enforcing stricter policies in terms of freight claims. In order for GBE Packaging to assist in your claim related inquiries, we are redesigning our freight claims department to better assist you.

If your order is damaged or items missing please contact our claims department, we will need the following information sent to our Claims Department within 24 hours of delivery to gbe@wi.rr.com

What should be sent to our Claims Department?

1. The signed POD (Proof of Delivery) noting damages, missing items/skids.

2. If product is missing, indicate what item(s) and what quantity is missing or damaged / defective.

3. Pictures that show damages / defective product.

4. Indicate whether or not our black spray paint lines were intact on the skid(s).

5. PLEASE NOTE: signing your POD “Subject to count or Subject to inspection” is not a valid signature and the claim will be denied.

Failure to provide the above documentation may result in your claim being denied.

Here are examples of how our skids should look upon delivery. Our goal is to ship to our valued customers on time and damage free. Each LTL shipment is stretch wrapped and labeled with our signature black spray paint line down each side of the skid. Please send this to your receiving team and if the shipment does not look like that below - have your team sign damaged/short immediately.

Freight Order Notes:

1-Freight companies require a signature at time of delivery. Please confirm order is complete and not damaged before signing. Please document any damage or shortage on all copies of the signature delivery sheet. Shippers will deny any claims that are not noted on the BOL or delivery receipt. It is their rule so please check your order and make the driver wait while you check the order. When we file a claim for damage they will check to see if damage or shortage was indicated at time of delivery so please make the driver wait as long as it takes to check your order or they will not approve a claim. All claims for shortages and damages must be made within 24 hours of delivery – No Exceptions.

2-Failure to be present at time of delivery will cause carrier to schedule a redelivery. Carriers charge a redelivery fee.
