These edge protectors are designed to provide protective support to containers on pallets during storage, handling and shipping. These angular boards work reliably to reinforce the edges on corners, tops, and bottoms of the boxes. They also work well for protecting the boxes against the stress and friction of straps and restraints. These edge protectors facilitate improved stacking strength of palletized goods by moving the stress to the edge of the box.

These strong edge protectors, also sometimes referred to as corner protectors, should extend the full vertical height and length of the load and be used on all corners. This would help maintain the shape and integrity of the load boxes. When these packaging protectors are used along the edges of container tops and bottoms, they create a horizontal protection that effectively create a sort of shelving to distribute the weight evenly.
